Redeemer Church Land Announcement

Land announcement

Exciting times are ahead for Redeemer Church.

We announced back on Thanksgiving of 2013 that we would begin a more aggressive search for land, or a building, since we have outgrown our current facility.

Our Building Team (Gary Gonzalez, JonL Steele, Brandon Eads, Pastor Kevin Bowles) have been meeting for months trying to find something that fits our church. We had a church-wide prayer meeting a few months back, asking the Lord to show us what he has for us. And a couple of months ago, we enlisted the help of a firm who helps churches find land that fits their budget and needs.

Friends, it seems like God has shown us what’s next.

The Building Team, Finance Team, and Elders have agreed to put in a contract on 10 acres of land in the heart of Tomball.

And I’m thrilled to let you know the contract has been accepted!

We are looking at 10 acres on the corner of Baker and Brown-Hufsmith Rd for $870,938.

This land is an ideal location to labor towards making the real gospel recognizable in Tomball and beyond. This land is thirty seconds away from Highway 249 and thirty seconds away from Main Street/FM 2920. This tract of land is also about a block away from Tomball High School, Tomball Intermediate School, and Tomball Elementary. Church, this is a wonderful spot in the city. Let’s begin to dream of ways that we can a blessing to our surrounding community.

WHAT NOW?

We are in the feasibility period. We have sixty-days to make sure this land is appropriate for all that we need to do for a future facility. After the feasibility period we have thirty-days to close, putting us around mid-December.

And we need everyone to be in prayer for this process. We need everyone to give generously, in addition to their current tithes and offerings, as the Lord leads.

HOW YOU CAN PRAY

We are praying for the Lord to use this land as hub for making disciples and making much of Jesus. This land already belongs to God, let’s ask him if he will let us be stewards of it. Let’s ask him if he will let us steward it for making the real gospel recognizable in Tomball and beyond.

HOW YOU CAN GIVE

You can give by check on Sundays, in the mail (P.O. Box 1126, Tomball, TX 77377), or drop by the office—just write ‘Land’ in the memo line of your check or envelope.

You can also give online at http://makingmuchofjesus.org/giving. If you give online, be sure to use the drop down menu on ‘Memo Line’ and choose Building/land.

If you have any questions, you can email Pastor Kevin, kevin at makingmuchofjesus dot org.

I’m excited to see what the Lord will do over these next three months. In all things, let’s seek his face, his will, his glory.

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.” (Rom. 11:36)
